Katy Burnau is Vice President of Mission Support services for Fluor Mission Solutions. She is responsible for providing information technology, project controls, estimating, quality, document and data management, supply chain, property management, prime contract management, and small business program management for Fluor’s global government and nuclear power projects. She has more than 30 years of experience leading teams and delivering functional services such as supply chain, sales, prime contract, and business management. Her extensive experience includes purchasing, material management, property management, logistics, negotiations, prime contract administration, business development, business management, and marketing services.

Prior to joining Fluor, Katy was responsible for managing major proposal development, marketing services, and negotiation efforts in the nuclear power market. She led the successful negotiation of the fixed-price decommissioning and demolition project at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS). The SONGS decommissioning and demolition project is one of the largest commercial nuclear plant decommissioning projects in the United States.

Prior to her role in marketing services and business development, Katy was responsible for supply chain management, contract administration, procurement, and property services at the Savannah River Remediation (SRR) Project in Aiken, South Carolina. Additional roles in her career included Contract Manager for the Savannah River Site (SRS) Management and Operations contract before it was restructured into two contracts, Deputy Capture Manager on SRS proposals, and executing program evaluations and contract negotiations at other DOE and United Kingdom NDA sites. In her capacity at SRR, Katy managed a staff of more than 60 personnel to leverage and execute supply chain management solutions for materials, services, and construction needs, at one time leading her team to achieve a $2M return on investment from supply chain improvements and negotiations in less than six months.

During her career, Katy has supported due diligence efforts for mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, management assessments, business system IT development and implementation, and large project transitions.

Katy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business – Procurement, Materials Management, and Organizational Behavior from Miami University with particular execution expertise in government procurement and contract negotiations.
