With more than two decades of multi-industry global supply chain management experience, Brown is a key member of a team of supplier diversity professionals who build relationships within the communities Wells Fargo serves through the development, inclusion, and utilization of certified minority, women, LGBTQ, veteran, disability-owned and small business enterprises. Brown implements an integrated approach with strategic sourcing, procurement, and the company’s lines of business to generate increased opportunities for certified diverse suppliers ultimately providing a distinct competitive advantage for Wells Fargo.

Wendell has been a member of the company’s Chief Operating Office, Consumer & Small Business Banking, Wealth & Investment Management and Commercial Banking Diversity, Equity & Inclusion councils. He is also a member of the Black / African American Connection team member network where he served as Marketplace Outcomes Chair.  Wendell currently serves on the board of the Carolinas-Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council (CVMSDC).

Wendell joined Wells Fargo & Company in 2018.

Throughout his career, Wendell has led strategic supply chain initiatives globally in regions including the Americas, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Prior to his current role, he served as the Supply Chain and Operations Strategy leader for Cigna Corporation, where he led the supply chain and operations strategy team, and was responsible for client operations and services. Prior to that role, Wendell held various positions within Honeywell International’s supply chain management and procurement groups, working closely with internal lines of business and external suppliers to develop strategies and processes to increase profit margins. He established the very first Honeywell International program management office within the Middle East where he lived for over nine and half years.

Wendell, a native of Charleston, South Carolina, is a graduate of South Carolina State University. Wendell enjoys spending time with family and serving the local community.  He is married and has two daughters. He is also a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.

Wendell lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.
