Andrea Horn- Speaker

Andrea Horn is a Manager at SAS Institute which provides analytics software and solutions for a vast array of industries spanning banking, government, life sciences, and healthcare. She currently manages SAS’ corporate-wide supplier diversity program where she works to advance business opportunities for minority, women, veterans, disabled, and LGBTQ business owners.

Her supplier diversity advocacy began over 13 years ago at Duke University and Health System where she worked in their supplier diversity program from 2007-2017. She is experienced in federal small business subcontracting and compliance reporting. Andrea has in-depth knowledge of supplier diversity management and constantly adapts supplier diversity program strategies to overcome resistance to organizational change. Andrea has a B.S.in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of South Florida and is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. Currently, she serves as Secretary for the Piedmont/ Triad Chapter of the CVMSDC and as Financial Secretary of the North Carolina Coordinators’ Network. She is also serving a 2-year term on the SAS Pride Leadership Council where she supports employee engagement, leadership, professional development, and volunteer opportunities to SAS’ LGBTQ+ and straight ally members in order to contribute to an LGBTQ-inclusive culture at SAS.
