JULIE RAKES

Julie Rakes is currently the Senior Manager of Supplier Diversity at Capital One Financial Corporation. In her role, Ms. Rakes is responsible for ensuring the company is engaged in industry-leading supplier diversity practices and includes diverse-owned businesses in procurement opportunities. She provides internal decision-makers with information on diverse suppliers that help shape their purchasing decisions.

Additionally, Ms. Rakes builds relationships with industry organizations such as CVMSDC to develop and implement award-winning programs that help suppliers grow their businesses, gain competitive digital skills, and achieve greater scale. Ms. Rakes holds an MBA from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Lehigh University.
